Imran Khan has lost it. He has proved that he is no better than any other Pak politician. Infact even worse. This man, for years now, has been trying to grab attention of the masses and secure a political clout in his country. After having failed at it, he now is seen sharing stage with convicts like Hafiz Saeed and members of other Islamic extremist groups such as JuD (Jamaat-ud-Dawa).
These moves only show his desperate intention of sustaining a foothold in the political spectrum. He then philosophically defends himself by saying that that "we can't isolate or victimize these extremists, rather we should engage with them and try to bring them into the mainstream. They are after all government's own creation to counter the Soviet Union forces."
Is there anything more bizarre than his this stand in the present times? Well, he has always kept fluctuating from his various standpoints from being a Taliban man to a liberal modernistic person. But the one which entertains banned radicalized extremists, the very people behind every other religious attack including Mumbai 26/11 attack, splits wide open the dirty tricks of yet another politician trying to make it big. For once, it appeared that Pakistan is not at the brink of a doom with figures like him rising against the corrupt govt and standing for the rights of the people. He looked like being a wave of change.
But with the kind of developments that have been in the news, it's not difficult to ascertain that Imran is running out of patience and is seeking desperately to keep afloat his drowning image, no matter good, bad or ugly to the world. It is anybody's guess that this will not only help these religious extremist outfits to keep fuelling their engines to wage 'Jihad' against others by conniving with political figures and raising black money to fund their operations, but is also a danger sign to the already collapsing economy of the country.
And leaders like Imran Khan are just like grenades waiting to be handed over to these very terrorists, and then bursting out the nation with their narrow political brinsmanship.
